Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) in 2012 started to celebrate the Bone and Joint Day on August 4 with the slogan – “Stronger Bones Stronger India.”
Joint Replacement Surgery-led Orthopaedics projected to be the next big thing in India. It is estimated that in coming years, with increasing awareness, sedentary lifestyle, higher incomes, healthcare schemes etc. India will do nearly 1.5 million joint replacement surgeries annually.
