ALTA IT is seeking User Experience Researcher with a strong healthcare background to join our client’s UX team. This role will focus heavily on user research while also contributing to interaction design, visual design, and UX strategy. The ideal candidate is an experienced researcher who can define research methodologies, conduct interviews, lead user testing, and deliver actionable insights to drive user-centered solutions.

The Senior UX Researcher will collaborate with product management, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and end users to ensure an optimal and scalable user experience across healthcare platforms. This role requires excellent communication, facilitation, and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

UX Research

• Lead the UX research phase for healthcare-related products.

• Define and implement research techniques (qualitative and quantitative).

• Recruit and coordinate user research participants.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, user interviews, and usability testing.

• Deliver clear and actionable research findings and reports.

• Perform competitive analysis, market assessments, and heuristic evaluations.

• Develop personas, empathy maps, and user journey maps.

• Mentor junior team members on research methodologies and best practices.

Interaction Design

• Lead card-sorting activities and develop content strategies.

• Create navigation schemas, taxonomies, sitemaps, task flows, and wireframes.

• Guide and mentor team members on UX interaction design.

Visual Design

• Create and review UI mockups to ensure quality and consistency.

• Support and improve enterprise-level design systems.

• Partner with development teams to ensure proper application of UX/UI standards.

UX Strategy & Planning

• Define the UX strategy and roadmap for healthcare products.

• Plan UX activities and deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.

• Define UX metrics and leverage analytics to measure and improve user experience.

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Healthcare background required with proven experience designing solutions in a healthcare or health insurance environment.

• Strong expertise in UX research methods (interviews, surveys, usability testing, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis).

• Hands-on experience with creating personas, empathy maps, and user journey maps .

• Proficiency in interaction design (wireframes, task flows, navigation schemas).

• Strong visual/UI design skills with the ability to create and evaluate mockups.

• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.

• Familiarity with UX strategy, roadmaps, and defining UX metrics.

• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Experience mentoring and guiding other UX professionals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Licenses/Certifications
User Experience \Certified User Experience Professional (CUEP) Pre
