Do you want to lead a team of hard working and dedicated administrative professionals who support the work of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's (CDFW) Marine Region? CDFW's Marine Region is seeking a motivated and independent individual to work as a Staff Services Manager I.

Under the general direction of the Marine Regional Manager (CEA), the Staff Services Manager I directs and oversees the regional budget, contracts, grants, facilities and human resource activities. The incumbent must be familiar with administrative practices and principles and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures required by the Department and other control agencies. As appropriate, the incumbent also works directly with staff in other areas of the Department, various state agencies, and a wide variety of local and federal government entities and the public.

In order to be eligible for this position, you must either be transfer eligible or take and pass the following exam.

    Please describe your background, training, experience and skills in: 1) state budgets and fiscal oversight; 2) state contracts and grants; 3) facilities management; 4) human resources; and 5) supervision. Using examples, please explain your strengths and experience across these disciplines and what you will do to leverage your strengths to enable you to be successful in this position.
