Under the general direction of the Marine Regional Manager (CEA), the Staff Services Manager I directs and oversees the regional budget, contracts, grants, facilities and human resource activities. The incumbent must be familiar with administrative practices and principles and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures required by the Department and other control agencies. As appropriate, the incumbent also works directly with staff in other areas of the Department, various state agencies, and a wide variety of local and federal government entities and the public.
