PC Support Technician to provide technical support and systems administration for Air Force personnel systems at Dyess AFB. The technician will support hardware and software troubleshooting, assist with IT equipment accountability, and coordinate with external organizations to ensure seamless access to Air Force systems. This role requires a strong technical foundation in networking, security protocols, and familiarity with key personnel systems such as MilPDS, vMPF, BLSDM, and myFSS.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Support the management and maintenance of Air Force personnel systems, ensuring operational availability and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues related to hardware, software, and user access.
- Assist with hardware/software installation, configuration, and updates across local systems.
- Maintain IT equipment accountability, tracking inventory and assisting with lifecycle support.
- Run and generate system reports from platforms such as MilPDS, vMPF, BLSDM, and myFSS.
- Coordinate with outside organizations to facilitate system access requests, account setup, and issue resolution.
- Follow established security protocols and ensure compliance with Air Force and DoD IT policies.
- Provide technical support to staff, escalating issues when necessary to higher-tier support.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting, hardware/software installation, and networking basics.
- Familiarity with security protocols and user access control in a DoD environment.
- Experience with Air Force systems including MilPDS, vMPF, BLSDM, and myFSS is highly preferred.
Education: - A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
