Middle Tennessee Oral and Implant Surgery is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to join our team in the Murfreesboro office. We’re seeking someone who combines strong technical skills with a patient-first mindset, ensuring each interaction is handled with care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Address patient questions regarding billing and payments
Process patient insurance payments
Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up as needed
Research and review all claims for accuracy
Work outstanding claims reports to resolution
Correct and resubmit denied claims
Post EFT, check, and credit card payments
Handle insurance payment processing
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of medical and dental insurance verification experience preferred
Experience with oral surgery insurance processes is a plus
At least 2 years of customer service experience in a patient-focused environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a problem-solving mindset
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in all work
Comfortable working closely with patients and as part of a collaborative team
Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and safety
High school diploma or equivalent required
